Turkish military dispatches tanks near to Iraqi border

Tanks on their way to southeastern Şırnak's Silopi district from Ankara, according to military source.


ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s army dispatched tanks to southeastern Şırnak province's Silopi district, a military source said Tuesday.

According to the source, who asked to remain anonymous, the tanks were from the Ankara-based 28th Mechanized Infantry Brigade and will travel close to the Iraqi border.

The exact number of tanks and further details remain unconfirmed. Details to follow.
