ANKARA (AA) – Over 100 terrorists were 'neutralized' during operations in Turkey's east and southeast between Oct. 20-26 the military said on Friday.

The security forces accounted for 105 PKK terrorists, according to statement from the Turkish General Staff.

Operations took place in eight provinces including Hakkari, Agri, Sirnak, Diyarbakir, Bingol, Batman, Bitlis and Siirt.

The PKK -- considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in late July.
