Football: Real Madrid wins El Clasico

Cristiano Ronaldo claims late winner to see Real mark their first win at the Nou Camp since 2012.

Barcelona were the hosts for this La Liga clash.

The home side’s goal came from Gerard Pique on the 56th minute but was shortly cancelled out by Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema who brought the score to 1-1 six minutes later with quality work.

Real Madrid’s winner came on the 85th minute from their Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo's personal effort shortly after the visitors’ Sergio Ramos was shown a red card after a 'cancelled goal'.

Turkey’s Arda Turan made a 74th minute appearance during Saturday’s El Clasico clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Barcelona player replaced midfielder Ivan Rakitic but was left disappointed as the Catalan side slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Real.

The result was Real’s first win of at the Nou Camp since April 2012.
