Turkey’s women win gold in goalball at Paralympics

Sevda Altunoluk scores three times in win against China.

(AA) – Turkey's national women’s goalball team on Friday defeated China to win the gold medal at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The 4-1 victory gave Turkey its third gold medal at the games.

Sevda Altunoluk contined her dominance in the sport with three goals in the match. Altunoluk has won top scorer honors in several previous tournaments. 

Along with the three golds, Turkey also has one silver and five bronze medals at the Paralympics Games.
